Nurses for hope

Nurses for Hope is our newest educational initiative, created to address the critical shortage of healthcare professionals in Haiti. Through this program, we sponsor dedicated young people pursuing nursing degrees, equipping them with the education and training needed to become compassionate, skilled healthcare providers in their own communities.

Our long-term vision is to establish a community medical clinic where these nurses, working alongside volunteer physicians and other healthcare professionals, will provide preventive care, emergency medical services, maternal and child healthcare, and public health education.

By investing in local healthcare professionals, we are not only transforming individual lives—we are building healthier, more resilient communities with greater access to quality medical care for generations to come.

Help us ensure they are prepared to serve and thrive when the economy recovers.

In the remote, mountainous region of Bellevue de la Montagne, the nearest hospitals are hours away over treacherous roads. Urgent medical issues too often turn fatal simply due to rough roads and distance.

Our Solution & Impact:

  • 5 Nursing Scholars: Sponsoring dedicated local women through professional nursing school.

  • The Vision: Opening a permanent local clinic where these graduate nurses, alongside visiting doctors, will deliver lifesaving emergency care, preventative health, and public health education.

Learn about the dedicated nurses at the Nurses for Hope program who provide care and support to those in need.

who they are?

4 young ladies were selected to go to École Supérieure d’Infirmières et d’Infirmiers, Jeanne Mance du Canada based on:

  • The school’s admission requirements

  • Financial need for HACA assistance.

They are extremely excited and motivated to be a part of the program, and eager to excel in their studies.
