ABout us
Our mission is to create opportunities for the most disadvantaged children and their families in some rural parts of Haiti by facilitating access to education, healthcare, and social services.

Our History
Haitian Alliance for Community Action (HACA) was founded in July 2009 by a group of 15 Haitians living in New Jersey because of the extreme poverty they witnessed in Bellevue de la Montagne, a rural area west of Petionville, Haiti.

They immediately went to work by providing emergency food supplies to several communities and helping the neediest schools with school supplies. By July 2012, HACA had an ambulatory clinic in Haiti where we partnered with American and Haitian doctors to provide eye, pediatric, and gynecological care to several communities.

Since 2016, we have an annual school supplies distribution. We also have an annual food distribution where we hand out bags of raw Haitian staple food to feed a family of at least 5 members for a week.
Since 2014, HACA has been sponsoring 29 children and teenagers to attend primary, secondary and professional schools. We have several graduates one of whom is working, making a living in his field.
HACA provided much-needed support to 2010 earthquake orphans. We have created a program especially for them, the Food Pantry, where they get food provisions every other month.
