HACA’s Sponsorship Program

Schools are open in Haiti and children are happy to go back to school!!

Schools were opened for only 2 weeks in Sept. 2019 before closing because of political unrest. They opened again in Dec. to close in Mar. because of COVID-19. We are happy our 24 students are back in school as of Aug. 10. They will complete the program for 2019-

ree

2020 in Oct. and do 2020-2021 from Nov. to July. HACA’s mission to provide education and improve the quality of life of the most underprivileged children in the area surrounding Duplan, Bossier, Marlique, etc. has never been more challenging. We need $9,000 to cover the tuition balance for this year and tuition for next year for these children.

HACA’s Hunger Alleviation Program

We are preparing to do our yearly food distribution in December 2020, God willing. As before, HACA will distribute bags of non-perishable staples such as rice, beans, cornmeal, spaghetti, canned salmon, cooking oil, etc. to over 400 needy families of at least 5 members.

HACA’s Health care Program

Our new initiative, Nurses For Hope, started last year. The 4 nursing students started school in Jan. 2020 and stopped in March. They went back to school in Aug. 2020. They will complete last year’s and this year’s programs by the end of summer 2021. The goal of this program is to reopen the local clinic where the nurses will help provide preventive and emergency care, as well as public health education to the communities mentioned above. This program costs $1,500/year per student. During these challenging and uncertain times, with cancelled events, disrupted programming, and loss revenues, the underprivilege families in Haiti need you more than ever. We count on your valuable donation to pay tuition. HACA can’t do this work without you.
